Why Do We Climb Trees?

I have two cats that follow me. We have a few favorite spots that we like to go to. One of them is to the picnic tables. These picnic tables belong to Branch 139 of the Royal Canadian Legion. No one seems to mind when I stretch out on one of them and lay there looking up at the sky. Their are some old trees as well, and one has a remarkable lean which causes its thick branches to stretch way, way out, and form a sort of covering. This morning while laying there, I reminisced about climbing trees as a small boy.
