The morning was cool. Almost Autumn cool. I strolled down to the old Power Dam with Maribel the cat, but some young people were there. So I walked back to the picnic tables behind Branch 139 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Charo the cat joined us, and we all three laid down in the sun and stretched. Above me I heard a strange sounding bird, which turned out to be a white seagull. After some time, I went home and got my bicycle and backpack, intending to go shopping for food. I chose the Culham Trail as my route, and stopped along the way to take pictures of the river and trees. I realized that I need to walk along a section of that trail again as their are hidden spots I haven’t explored in some time . When I reached the top of the trail behind the Community Centre, I saw an elderly Sikh gentleman sprinting across the field near the baseball diamond. I stopped to clap and cheer him on.
